Rockin’ bloomington

For this project, I developed a wayfinding system for an event guiding participants through Bloomington's record stores. The challenge was to create a relaxed, nostalgic experience while providing clear directions. I designed materials, including a brochure with a map and itinerary, using warm, retro-inspired colors and typography to evoke the feel of vinyl shopping. The goal of “Rockin’ Bloomington” is to offer a laid-back, music-filled day, engaging participants with Bloomington's local record shops in a fun and accessible way. My beginning process for this project really surrounded the color palette I had chosen. I wanted to make sure everything came out authentically vintage rather than a modern-day copy. This allowed me to design easier knowing the whole product would come out cohesive just from the overall aesthetic it gives.
